About Tire Pressure Check
What We Do
Tire Pressure Check (tirepressurecheck.com) is an independent reference site with one focus: helping drivers find and maintain the correct tire pressure for their vehicle. We publish two kinds of content:
- A vehicle tire pressure database covering 190+ models, with recommended PSI by trim, year, and tire size
- Step-by-step practical guides on checking, inflating, and maintaining tire pressure
Where Our Data Comes From
Every PSI value we publish is sourced from vehicle documentation, not estimates. Our primary sources are:
- Manufacturer owner's manuals — the authoritative source for recommended cold inflation pressure
- Driver-side door jamb stickers — the same values printed on the vehicle itself
- Tire manufacturer fitment guides (Michelin, Bridgestone) and established tire pressure databases as secondary references
Our Editorial Standard
No value goes on this site from a single source. Before a vehicle page is published, each PSI figure is cross-checked against at least two independent sources. When sources disagree — for example, when a trim has different front and rear (staggered) pressures, or when a manufacturer revised the recommendation mid-generation — we note the variation on the page rather than picking one silently.
Guides are written to be followed at the curb, not just read: numbered steps, specific tool names, and the mistakes that actually cause problems (like checking pressure on hot tires or inflating to the sidewall maximum).
Corrections
Tire pressure recommendations occasionally change when a manufacturer updates a vehicle or issues revised guidance. If you believe a value on this site is wrong, we genuinely want to hear about it — please contact us with your vehicle's year, trim, and the source you're referencing (a photo of the door jamb sticker is ideal). Verified corrections are published promptly.
Important Disclaimer
The information on this site is for reference only. The correct tire pressure for your specific vehicle is always the value on your driver-side door jamb sticker or in your owner's manual — those account for your exact trim, tire size, and load rating. When in doubt, follow your vehicle's documentation or consult a qualified tire professional.
How This Site Is Supported
Tire Pressure Check is free to use. The site is supported by advertising and affiliate links to products we reference in our guides (such as tire pressure gauges). Product recommendations are based on published reviews and hands-on comparisons from independent testers; affiliate relationships never change which products we recommend or the PSI data we publish.
